Steve Dixon -- the Owner


Personal

Steve grew up in Dorchester. He is a graduate of Boston English High School and the University of Connecticut with a BA in Economics. At Connecticut, he was an all-conference tackle on the football team and captain of the lacrosse team. Upon graduation from UConn, he married his high school sweetheart, Pat St. George, of South Boston.

Prior to starting Stephen Dixon Inc., Steve worked as a high school teacher and football coach, sales representative for Rockwell International, and an ironworker on high-rise buildings in Boston.

Steve is a past member and chairman of the Middleboro Planning Board and a member and volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.

Steve and Pat live in Middleboro, have three children, and seven grandchildren.

Steve founded Stephen Dixon, Inc. in 1978.

His business associations include:

  • The National Association of Home Builders as a member and National Life Director
  • The Home Builders Association of Massachusetts, as a member, alternate director and Builder of the Year in 2003
  • The Builders Association of Greater Boston, as a member, President in 1994, Builder of the Year in 1996, and inducted into the Hall of Fame2006
  • The Board of Building Regulations And Standards, which promulgates and oversees the State Building Code, where he represented the home builders on the Board from 1998 to 2004
  • The Cranberry Country Chamber of Commerce as a member and past director
 
Steve Dixon
